Despite the sheer amount of shit I ate at Otakon this year, I actually think I lost weight from it. I looked at myself in the mirror this morning and was like "FFFFFFFFFF why couldn't I have looked this skinny during our photoshoots?" Also, since Otakon is so early next year (July 17th wtf is that), I really am going to have to push Israel onto time during the semester, if I even go. I'm not sure yet; part of me is like "o hay I might not want to get blown up while trying to start my life."

Oh well. Anyway, I have more pictures to spam you with. Because there's never enough, really.

So it turns out that I'm having a love affair with the Otakon photo suite, and quite frankly, I'm okay with that. I went in there on Saturday and they suggested I pose like that other Claire did, who was featured in the Otakon info book this year. WELL GUESS WHAT. THAT WAS ME. I laughed at the guy, rly. 8)

OTAKON 2008

I know that normally I make a post with a bunch of funny captions, but this time around there's so much awesome that I don't know if I'm physically able to make fun of all of it. Enjoy anyway!

There were a bunch of street signs in Baltimore that were upside down for some reason. No one was ever able to explain it to me, but I actually saw this sign before I saw any cosplayers. It bugged me out. Twilight Zone get?

I attacked him on Friday then stumbled across him again on Saturday, and then he turned out to be awesome and we hung out for a good portion of the con. I want to say something witty about it, but it was just so incredibly fuckshit awesome that I can't.

And there's the rest of the crew that that Leon and I hung out with for moar of the con. WE'RE BASICALLY THE BEST RESIDENT EVIL TEAM EVER. And at the time that picture was taken? NONE of us knew that we were going to end up spending the rest of the con together. It just happened spontaneously and turned out to be the best thing ever. Kind of like Devil May Cry 1.

Quite possibly the best group at the con, if for no other reason than the Ed could do a PERFECT SPLIT. That girl's bound to make a man very, very happy one day. The ballet slippers are a nice touch. And yes, this is in the food court. Because gearcheim and I thought it was positively imperative to bother them while they were eating. xD

FACT: The love of my life came out on stage last night wearing a kilt.

The best part about the kilt is the fact that no one mentioned it the whole show. Rob came out on stage wearing it, and no one ever brought it to the attention of the audience that he was wearing it, so no one ever told us why. I recently also learned that he normally goes commando, so I can't help but wonder what would've happened if the amp he jumped off of was just a little bit higher. But then again, I'm a pervert.

The USB around my wrist is defective, so I need to send it back and get a new one. It skips a lot and has weird sound smudges here and there, like the sounds you hear when a CD is scratched. Also, Push isn't even on it for some reason. And my desktop comp won't even recognize it. So. Yeah.

Now, without further adieu, I give you more pictures. I tried really hard to get a picture of Kyle, but he kept moving too much. +15 of these are strictly of Rob, +1 of Paul, +1 of Rob & Paul, +1 of the whole band, and +1 of the boys fucking up. Also, the last four of these were taken with my phone as opposed to my digital camera, so that's why the quality is so bad.

Yes, I had to get a closeup of the kilt. And now that I think about it, it was less of a kilt and more of just straight-up skirt. And I totally had a dream last night that I had a skirt just like that. And if I did, you'd be damn sure I'd wear it one hell of a lot more now. BTW, Rob's ass looks really good in that thing. :O

AnimeNEXT 2007 pictarz!

Well, folks. It's that time again. I've just returned from a con with a crapload of pictures, and I feel the urge to post them all and show off mad cosplaying skillz! These pics are from AnimeNEXT 2007, with lots and lots of pretty things.

IMPORTANT: After AnimeNEXT, I still had quite a few pictures left on my second camera to kill. This post will be divided up into three sections: AnimeNEXT, Claire photoshoot, and random pictures of me and Mr. Drewface before he left to go be stationed out in bumblefuck, California. I put those last so people can skip over them. :F

I think it's always good to start out a picture post with a picture that does you the most justice, no? That would be me in my CasualFridaysAtTheRPD!Jill costume posing back-to-back with Creepy Leon. We call him Creepy Leon because he was a complete and total creep. I mean, look at him.

Once again, Creepy Leon dominates the picture. We'll try our best to ignore his faggotry, though. From left to right the roll call is, Ada as Ada (lawl), me as Claire, NeoSpike as Wesker, and Pincer as Chris. We're all looking at completely different cameras. And I think it's great how so many people took our picture throughout the con and I CAN'T FIND ANY OF THEM NOW. I've found ONE. One. Bastards.

See, this picture WOULD have been wonderful were our Chris not cut out of it. But he is. Because people don't know how to take pictures right. I love the look on Wesker's face though. LAWL.

Okay, confession. I don't know who half of those people are. But after the RE gathering got sabotaged by a bunch of losers parading around in Umbrella garb attacking Naruto cosplayers, Chris, Wesker, and I decided to wander away and not be associated with them. Then the other three came running up to us like, "Hey, can we get a picture with just the six of us?" Because we were, you know, the only SANE RE cosplayers there. And that was the only RE1 Jill at the whole con. So it was cool to get a picture of her. And godDAMN I look miserable here.

Ah, onto the actual con itself. This was actually the first picture I took. Nintendo cosplay group ftw! My Marine now-ex-boyfriend took one look at this picture and said, "Wow, this would be Super Smash Brothers if they were all fat." I then dubbed this picture: Nintendo: The Later Years.

Onto the HORRIFYING Kingdom Hearts shoot. Seriously. I'm not wearing my Larxene cosplay to Otakon because these people fucking SCARE ME. I took a few sane pictures. This is one of them. Soras and Rikus and whatnot. I really just wanna call SNATCHIES on that abandoned keyblade and run, though.

Yay Twilight Town and... emo Olette? What the hell? Olette's quite possibly the happiest one of the bunch. We'll skip this.

The best KH cosplayers at the con. Hands down. I took two pictures of them, actually, just to make sure I captured the awesome. The weapons, the wigs, the coats, and oh mah gawd *fangirlish squeal*

...And then they started making out. And I took a picture of it, in complete and utter disbelief. In fact, I took TWO pictures of it just because I wanted to make sure I was really seeing it.

lolfrank. xD I was standing in front of the Expo Center with Chris and Wesker when all of a sudden this Frank cosplayer ran up from behind me and put the lego thing on my head. xD I was so bugged out. Then he took it off and I saw what was going on and I was all fangirly because Drew had just bought Dead Rising (we're both total zombie fanatics, btw) and we spent the last week or so hitting zombies with cash registers and shopping carts and goddamn that game's like GTA with zombies. So I had to take a picture. His costume was flawless. :3

The conga line in the rave. I was in the rave for about 15 minutes before I high-tailed it out of there due to an extreme case of Otafunk. It was not a pleasant experience, oh noes.

Yay Sailor Moon group! I love Sailor Moon groups... although I really had to beat back the urge to go up to Sailor Mars and tell her every single thing she was doing wrong with her bow. There was a Zelda cosplayer at the con who had the same problem. awrha;kjra;wkrega;kr pet peeve.

I took this picture on Sunday, and I'll bet this guy was so tired of getting his picture taken by that point, but I really just didn't give a shit. Honestly, if you do something that leet, you just need to expect it. I don't think I've come across one aNEXT gallery yet without him in it.

This was actually the last picture I took at the con in the parking garage on the way out to my car. You can't see it in this picture, but Selphie actually had a case of Smirnoff with her. xD And she was lost on her way to the Embassy. All I could think of was, "Woo hoo! Let's party!"
